We spend January 1st walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential. ~Ellen Goodman Happy friggen New Years! I am now on my 2nd wind for the evening...any dilusions that I was going to go party or be wasted by this time was completely dampened by the lack of my voice. I have nothing...I also am feeling a little settled. I was surprised with a beautiful arrangement of roses from my husband who snuck out of work to see me for my New Years smooch; I was enjoying a fun evening with my kids, neice and friend and I have only managed to enjoy 1 rum n coke...only ONE. What is wrong you ask? well...I don't know. I am how you say, pathetic! I have also officially expired - well legally. Today marks the day that my health card, drivers license, plate stickers, and passport expire...I have nothing....what is that? How can they put an expiration on something that you can't ammend until at least Monday...????!!! Anyhow, I have read a lot of great posts tonight, and would like to echo a few thoughts I have seen. Per Ex Hot Girls blog, please don't drink and drive. If you can afford to drink tonight, you can afford a cab - if not look in your areas for complimentary shuttles, busses, cabs etc.. As, Did I Just Eat That Out Loud had posted, let's kick the shit outta 2010 for goals; be them weight loss, financial or personal. (she wrote a letter to herself for next year which is a totally great idea). I have read some great news headlines where they have reported that This Year will be the Best Year EVER!!!! Are you pickin up what Im puttin down yet??? Ok, so tonight, have a great night. Party like you're a rock star...but please be safe. Tomorrow, change your sheets, adjust your mirrors and remember, it's the first day of the rest of your life!!! Totally EMBRACE it!!! All the best... Insatiablehost

I'm hoping this is a best year ever.
I can use one.
Thanks for reminding me to change the sheets, I forgot last year.

All the best to you, too.

I'd rather say twenty ten. Who's going to decide?

Happy New Years! I was howlin' at the moon the other night! We were at a neighbor's house, walked in, I typed it and went to bed. Hubby got up and said "Uh, I think you need to delete this..." more for my friend, who is a partner in the biggest law firm in town, and our sons' teacher follows my blog. Oh, to be censored!! Have a great New Year...I have changed my sheets, per your instructions.
