I know many of you love this show for the great music, or for the hilarious comments from Sue Sylvester.  There have been many shows that I have loved...I mean 90210 (original cast)???!! HELLO!!!  The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show...YES!  I loved Mamma's Family, Nell, 227, 30 Rock, AMNTM, Grey's Anatomy and so many more.....but this show for some reason or a million sticks with me.
High school was a really difficult time for me...I don't need to tell any of you - I know it was the worst of many people's years...torment, bullying in some way or another, heart ache and jealousy.  Girls being the best of friends with you and in an instant, your roommate is sleeping with your ex.  It's where you find your first love and then have that thrown in your face...where you make friends with some of the most amazing people - and some of the most insane people you will likely know...
Because I wore many hats in high school, I think this show is my favorite because I see myself in every character...
Puck - aside from totally wanting to jump his bones and dry hump him for hours like when I was a teenage girl...I also had my moments of rebellion and rule breaking.
Kurt - well...I like boys.  Aside from that, I also felt so alienated for being either the new girl at school or for being different.
Rachel - I was fairly intelligent...I also had the "goodie too shoes" image for a while..which got trashed when I started to be similar to Puck.
Finn - well, I was never the captain of any team nor did I worship a grilled cheesus sandwich - but I know that when push came to shove, I would stand up for a friend or give them whatever I could to help.
Mercedes - with being alienated or made fun of for whatever reason or another - I also had a body image problem in grade 10 that was really hard to get through....I wasn't sure what to think about the boobs that exploded and the ass that popped out like a bag of microwave popcorn...  I just didn't know how or what to think of myself...
As for Shuster and Sue ...well I have done stupid things, said stupid things, been in the wrong place at the wrong time...I have lost great things in my life and tried to been vindictive....
As for the rest of the cast...I have been the one pointed at, different, scared, challenged.  I am a girl - with nothing else, I am a girl with feelings, and I am human....
I love this show because no matter who you are, what you are, who you love it doesn't matter...the message is strong...
...cus you're the greatest...just the way you are!...
